This is the Alex 103 Nickel-Silver. This horn came in as part of a Phoenix Project, and it is offered at $5995. Featuring our famous liquid double-wall leadpipe, cut bell, and midnight blue abalone caps, this horn has great tone and is very stable in all registers.

Pictured also is the Alex 103 Brass. This horn went back to the UM as part of our Phoenix Project deal. They are very happy with the result. As you can see from the pictures, it features a liquid double wall leadpipe, cut bell, and emerald abalone caps. Both horns had extensive work done to ensure a proper airflow.

Upon request, we can apply the Moonstone finish (a Balu innovation) to the Alex 103 nickel silver featured here, as well as any of the 16 abalone colors you desire.

Below is a Balu horn, the Veni Vidi Vici model, featuring our liquid double-wall leadpipe, molten lava abalone, and Weathered Black finish, 3 of our own innovations. Sold to a very happy customer in NY.

Mastered Holton 179 sold at IHS in San Francisco on the second day of the exhibit to a great horn player who said something like, "This is pretty." Then she played it and said, "Wow! This is MY horn! Hold it!" We asked her to lend us the horn for the duration of the exhibit so people could test it (Thank you!). People were so impressed with the great stable sound, they offered us more for it than we were asking.

Featured below is our mastered HH with our liquid double-wall leadpipe, Alex size ring, and mother of pearl abalone caps. This horn is the very best Kruspe style horn we have ever mastered, and it was so good that we refused to sell it at IHS in San Francisco. At the time, we decided that this must be a reference horn. Here is a rare and unique horn, a Carl Lehmann horn mastered by Ion Balu (it has the Balu Liquid Double Wall Leadpipe, Alex ring, and Durk bell).

I had never encountered a Lehmann horn before, much less mastered one, but the result is surprisingly good. This horn is very stable in the high register and very even in all registers. I used it for my daily practice while in Romania. Offered for $7500 by a friend of mine who is moving towards conducting.

Full discolsure: the horn is in great overall condition, however it does have a patch on the tail, a bit higher then where the thumb is positioned on the horn. An MB6 and worldwide FedEx shipping are included in the price.
